PeRCS

This is a ten-week experience for first and second-year University of Toronto undergraduate medical students with the flexibility to structure their experience with the assigned supervisor. During their summer experience, students will be expected to be involved in an original research project. Students will also have the opportunity to attend clinical activities organized by the supervisor.

Student Advancement Research (StAR) Program

The StAR program is a six-week paid summer research internship that provides Indigenous, Black, and Filipino high school students with the opportunity to work in a world-class research lab. Students are paired with a SickKids lab and get to work on-site with research staff to complete their own project and present their findings in a research symposium.

MAP BIPOC Research Summer Student (MBRSS) Program

Based at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital (Toronto), MAP is a world-leading research centre dedicated to creating a healthier future for all. The MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions has partnered with the RASI program, which provides learners that face systemic barriers with research mentorship and research opportunities. Summer students work with MAP scientists and staff on health equity research projects.
